The PTSA is proud to congratulate our friend Ms. Taneika Taylor Tukan, Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Executive Director of Community Partnerships and Engagement, on receiving a 2024-25 first quarter Vision, Integrity and Passion (VIP) Award in the leadership category. Ms. Tukan is a long-time friend of PTA units across Alexandria and has worked tirelessly to build bridges between families, partner organizations and community members. Thanks to her infinite patience and training, the PTSA was able to start sending our weekly AC Town Crier newsletter via email AND via the ParentSquare platform this year. Families now receive the Crier in over 100 different languages making our work more accessible! Ms. Tukan also regularly assists us in providing Zoom access to our General Membership Meetings making our community more inclusive. We thank Ms. Tukan for her commitment to parent engagement, community involvement and student success at Alexandria City High School and throughout our public schools.
